A few WWJ notes
Friday, March 5th, 2010
Just a bit of clarification regarding the Winter Wonder Jam tomorrow. There seems to be some conflicting information on the Fry’s page, but I’m going by what’s been relayed to me by Mr. Underhill. First, the show starts at 6pm with the Rick Olivarez Trio, followed by The Wave, Sundried Opposum, Jamal Millner and Friends, The Chickenhead Blues Band and Eli Cook (in that order). Book of Job will be going on at midnight. If you think it sounds a little late, it’s probably best to stay by the fire and tend to your knitting. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Remember, it’s for a good cause. If you need further coaxing, there will be food and a cash bar. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
Winter Wonder Jam rescheduled
Monday, February 15th, 2010
The Winter Wonder Jam benefit for Park Street Academy has been rescheduled for March 6, starting at 4pm. It’s still hosted by Fry’s Spring Beach Club in Charlottesville and, apart from Book of Job, will include sets from X Pornstars, The Wave, Jamal Millner, Sun Dried Opossum, Eli Cook, Chickenhead Blues Band and others. Come on out and support this worthy cause.
SNOW FLOWS GROW, BLOW SHOWS!
Friday, February 5th, 2010
We regret to inform you that, due to circumstances beyond our control, namely inclement weather conditions, we’ve been forced to postpone both of our shows in Charlottesville this weekend. The Winter Wonder Jam will be rescheduled, though specifics are pending (you can also check here). We will do all we can to reschedule our show at Southern Cafe, as well. Again, apologies to all. Keep your chins up and stay tuned.
