Book of Job will be at Wabi Sabi down in Old Town Petersburg tomorrow night! I have been assured that we can expect a thoroughly rousing and titillating experience. I would expect nothing less. In the event that your curiosity has been piqued by the “private party” announcement, do not fret – bones will be thrown. No, you’re not invited. That would negate the whole concept of the “private party”. I will say that the band has some goodies planned for that event and they’ll be taking a few of them out for a test drive on Friday. The festivities begin at 9pm. Don’t be late.
Peace, love and souuuul.
Rock on down to Peterspatch

on May 14, 2010 by adminSome of us, namely yours truly, have been asleep at the wheel. Just cause you haven’t heard anything, though, don’t think there’s nothing going on. Tomorrow night in C’ville at Bel Rio, Book of Job is scheduled to be rockin some socks off. Taking the stage at 9pm, to be precise. Do stick around later for the incomparable Eli Cook. It’ll be a blast.
In the future, look for updates, info and scattered ramblings from Mr. Ryan Underhill himself. The interminably technologically maladroit melody-maker will be tickling the keyboard for your delight and amusement. Just as soon as I show him how. Stay tuned, but don’t wait up.
Peace

Poisson d’Avril
on April 1, 2010 by adminWhile it is April 1st, this is no joke. BoJ will be playing 12th Street Taphouse in Charlottesville on the 9th. That’s next Friday for those of you that don’t have a calendar handy. Come on out, shake a leg.
Until I figure out why my maps aren’t showing up for you with the show dates, I’ll have to do it the old-fashioned way. Here ya go:

A few WWJ notes
on March 5, 2010 by adminJust a bit of clarification regarding the Winter Wonder Jam tomorrow. There seems to be some conflicting information on the Fry’s page, but I’m going by what’s been relayed to me by Mr. Underhill. First, the show starts at 6pm with the Rick Olivarez Trio, followed by The Wave, Sundried Opposum, Jamal Millner and Friends, The Chickenhead Blues Band and Eli Cook (in that order). Book of Job will be going on at midnight. If you think it sounds a little late, it’s probably best to stay by the fire and tend to your knitting. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Remember, it’s for a good cause. If you need further coaxing, there will be food and a cash bar. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
Winter Wonder Jam rescheduled
on February 15, 2010 by adminThe Winter Wonder Jam benefit for Park Street Academy has been rescheduled for March 6, starting at 4pm. It’s still hosted by Fry’s Spring Beach Club in Charlottesville and, apart from Book of Job, will include sets from X Pornstars, The Wave, Jamal Millner, Sun Dried Opossum, Eli Cook, Chickenhead Blues Band and others. Come on out and support this worthy cause.
SNOW FLOWS GROW, BLOW SHOWS!
on February 5, 2010 by adminWe regret to inform you that, due to circumstances beyond our control, namely inclement weather conditions, we’ve been forced to postpone both of our shows in Charlottesville this weekend. The Winter Wonder Jam will be rescheduled, though specifics are pending (you can also check here). We will do all we can to reschedule our show at Southern Cafe, as well. Again, apologies to all. Keep your chins up and stay tuned.
Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome. C’mon in.
